EDHF Annual Meeting 2026 – Rotterdam – A look back
What a productive and inspiring two days in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for the EDHF Annual Meeting!
This year, 33 delegates (including the board) from 19 countries came together for two days filled with inspiring discussions and knowledge sharing.
Throughout the meeting, delegates had the opportunity to share national experiences, examples of good practice and discuss common barriers.
A particularly productive workshop focused on “Implementing the Cyprus Declaration on Oral Health in Europe: From Declaration to Action.” Delegates explored how the principles of the Declaration can be translated into meaningful action at national and European levels.
Our small-group sessions, “Shaping the Future of Dental Hygiene Together,” provided a valuable space for countries to share national experiences and best practices, identify common challenges and opportunities, and discuss ways to strengthen collaboration between member associations.
A huge thank you to all our delegates for their active participation, open discussions, and willingness to share experiences and perspectives. The diversity of countries and experiences represented made the discussions particularly valuable and demonstrated the importance of coming together as a European dental hygiene community.
These two days reflected the very heart of the EDHF mission: to connect and empower the voices of European dental hygienists by creating a platform for exchange and collaboration between national dental hygienists’ associations and other European oral health and general health organisations.
Together, we continue to connect, collaborate, learn and shape the future of dental hygiene in Europe.
